Family Fun Day

Being so far along in my pregnancy, we are forced to stay in town on the weekends now in case this little one decides to come early. Such a nice break from all of our traveling! It was so nice to have a whole day to hang out as a family this past Saturday.

We started out with some impromptu yard work Ryan decided to do for the Fall.
Gavin, of course, insists on helping his Dad.
He is so cute how he waters everything whether it needs it or not!

What a big helper!

If the shed is open, this boy has nothing else on his mind but the John Deere
And must touch the tires

Then it was off to World's Fair Park for a free evening of fun!
We didn't realize we'd be getting wet in the fountains so Gavin went in a diaper.
It was a little cool in the evening so he wasn't quite sure about it!

"Come on guys, are you serious!?"
So Ryan forces him in!
And he quickly runs out!

And back in!

"Dad, please don't make me do it again!"

Then we went up in the Sunsphere that we have never been up in before. It was really neat to see downtown! You can see the fountains we were just in in the background here:

We didn't get any pictures of the event we went down there for. It was free dinner, dessert (including cotton candy which Gavin refused to even taste!!!), and inflatables put on by Second Harvest Foodbank for a food drive. You can see the inflatables on the lawn in the background here:

Our little family of 3--not much longer until a family of 4!
What a fun day together!

Truck!!

Gavin's favorite word, book, and object these days: truck!!

Ryan found on Knox Moms the perfect thing for Gavin this past Saturday: trucks, trucks, and more trucks! Apparently this is an annual thing in Farragut at the Town Hall!

He didn't want to sit in them very much.

I was at a baby shower for a friend of mine, so Ryan and his parents took Gavin:

He looks so serious here. I think he's debating on which truck to go see next:

Ryan said he just ran from one truck/tractor to the next yelling, "Truck!"
And pointed to all the tires of course!

Here's a video to show what the little stinker did:

I think this probably ranks up there as one of Gavin's most favorite days!!

Florida

We went to Florida to visit my Aunt Joanna and her family 2 weeks ago. It was such a relaxing time just spending a week with family. It was Gavin's first time flying!

Here he is at the Knoxville airport. He loved looking out the window.

This was his favorite thing on the plane. It was hilarious (but probably not to the person in front of him!)

On the flight down there, he fell asleep the entire time. It was miraculous:

He loved jumping on and rolling around on our air mattresses at Joanna's house:
Hangin' out with John watching a movie:

Gavin looooved the beach.

We attempted some family pictures while we were there.
Much too bright--time for sunglasses:
Mom was trying to get Gavin to smile and was running around behind Joanna who was taking pictures--and she fell! We died laughing! Glad you're ok, Mom!

I love Gavin's hand on Ryan's shoulder like this:

This boy loves pointing to things: helicopters, planes, birds...

"Wow, guys, I'm a lot tanner than you are. I'm a stud muffin if I do say so myself!"

First time in the ocean:
I love the smile on Gavin's face here. He is lovin' life.

It was Henley's first time in the ocean, too! :)

Gavin is fearless of the water:

I love his facial expressions in all these pictures as he experiences all these firsts.
Props to Joanna our photographer!

My mom had this beach hat that Gavin loved to wear:
My cousin Madison:

We decided to do a few maternity shots while on the beach--but I already changed so you can see the lines of my bathing suit underneath. Oh, well! I still love them!

Love this little guy.

Ryan brought a shovel our 2nd time to the beach and made Gavin a baby pool.

He loves drinking water like Dakota:
Hangin' out in the shade with Nani.

Here's how much Gavin loved the beach:

Ryan and I walked out on the pier and saw this little guy:

We went to a splash park in Oviedo one day and Gavin loved it so much! It was like a mini White Water for his age. So fun!
Joanna, can you believe we were with you for 7 days and this is the ONLY picture I have with you in it???

Gavin's favorite thing to do everyday was swim in Joanna's pool at their house--usually multiple times a day. He loved this hot tub area because he could stand up and play with his cars on the ledge.

Why am I swimming in my clothes here? Because Gavin was leisurely strolling around the pool, tripped and fell in, and I was the closest one to him. 7 months pregnant jumping in fully clothed after my toddler. My heart was a racin' after that!! Just glad he's ok.
Taking an ice cream break:

Here is what Gavin did at the Orlando International Airport. I feel so sorry for everybody around him--but he was loving life!!

On the flight home, Gavin did not sleep a wink--until the second that we landed and we couldn't wake him up! He watched "Cars" on Ryan's phone:

Thanks for your hospitality all week, Joanna! We had so much fun! Can't wait to come back as a family of 4! :)
