First Haircut

Gavin got his first haircut last week! He wasn't in dire need of it being cut, but it was getting a bit shaggy and I needed a cut, so we both got it cut together! Here's a before picture:

He was such a good boy while Margie cut his hair! He had graham crackers in each hand to keep him occupied.

And when that stopped working, I gave him my water bottle--that did the trick!

Blizzard

Haha, not quite! We were supposed to get a lot more snow--they were calling for 4-8 inches for us! We got about 3 here.
Gavin doesn't really enjoy the snow because we bundle him up so much he's just like a big marshmallow.

Sledding in our neighbor's yard:
Hmmm...a little top heavy?
"I can't put my arms down!"

He liked it better when it started snowing big flakes.

I know you can see the excitement on his face!
Can't wait 'til he's older and we can play in it together!

11 Months

Our little boy is growing up so much!

Already learning to be a man (reading in the bathroom)...

He isn't really a fan of toys anymore. He prefers to empty everything out of our kitchen cabinets.
And he's getting a sense of humor!

He loves our laptop so much I think we should get him his own!

Learning to share with his best buddy Braden.
These boys are two smart cookies!

Dakota and Gavin like to play Tug-of-War together.
This is one toy he does still love--because it's musical, of course! Thanks for the hand-me-down, Jessica!

Gavin got in his first fight a couple of weeks ago...and lost! It's good for him to make him a tough boy! (Notice the bite mark looks like a smiley face--so funny.)

Still a little music maestro.

Out in the snow in his new wagon. I love that Dakota and Gavin both have the same look:
"Umm, guys, are you sure about this?"

And no post would be complete without messy food pictures. Enjoy!

Spaghetti:

El Charro cheese dip (boy after my own heart!)

Mashed Potatoes:

Yes, it would be less messy to feed him ourselves, but where's the fun in that??

Guessing Game

Ryan taught Gavin how to play this game last week. I think our son is incredibly advanced for not even 11 months old! :)

Tummy Time

Tummy Time for Gavin used to mean this:

Now it means this:

I guess if my stomach stuck out that far, I'd want to drum on it too!

10 Months

This boy still drums on everything! His new favorite drum: the toilet seat.
He just discovered how fun the dishwasher can be with spoons as drumsticks.

Gavin is the messiest eater I have ever seen!
First spaghetti...
Thankfully we have a free cleaning lady...

He likes to eat things whole (he hates for us to feed him and prefers biting on a pear to eating it cut up!)
And he loves to have something in both hands when he eats.

He had his first Krystal this month! I of course had to call my parents--it's our family's favorite.
Hand over your heart, Mom and Dad!

I rarely turn the TV on during the day. If I do, this is what happens--straight up to it and banging on the screen!

Bathtime with his buddies Lucy...
(Look at Gavin being a gentlemen and giving Lucy her privacy!)

...and Braden.

I just tried this one day and now he crawls up to the chair and looks at me waiting on me! I spin him around in the computer chair. You would think we're at an amusement park with how much fun this boy has.
Some things never change. A boy and his dog (from May when Gavin was 2 1/2 months)...
...and last week.

I will close with the many faces of Gavin...

We LOVE this stage!
