4th of July

What a fun and busy 4th of July weekend we had!

Of course we had to take a picture of these 2 precious ones after church!

Henley showing off her crazy tooth:

Monday morning, we started our day off with Flag Toast. It was really easy, yummy, and patriotic!

Every year, we host a 4th of July party at our house. It has gotten really out of hand the past few years, so we decided to have a smaller crowd this year. Our whole neighborhood gets in on the action, and our fearless 4th of July leader, Jamie, puts out the Slip n Slide of Death!

Jamie's sweet wife Kim even let us invade their yard all day at 9 months pregnant!

All the neighbors got to go on the Slip 'n Slide first before all the guests arrived:

Gavin wasn't so sure about it at first:

But then loved it!

He kept saying "Again! Do it again!"

I'm not sure who enjoyed it more--Ryan or Gavin!

Pictures really don't do it justice, so here's a short video:

Henley went down with me, too!

I was pregnant with her last year, so it was so fun to be able to run and go down it again!

Onto the party...

Jamie not only does the best Slip 'n Slide, he also decorates the whole neighborhood with balloons:

A balloon arch from our house to theirs:

The kiddos (including my son, the Cheeto thief)

After dinner, we all went over to watch the Slip 'n Slide madness:

Most people watched from the sidelines:

While the men and kiddos went down:

Henley chewed on her new favorite thing: celery!

Getting hydrated after a very fun day:

Here we are enjoying the fireworks. We woke Henley back up later that evening so she wouldn't miss her first fireworks! She didn't cry at all and just kept looking back and forth at all the pretty colors. And you can tell it's late with Gavin in mid-yawn:

Fireworks pictures thanks to Sharon!

We all relaxed and recuperated July 5 after a big day! :)
