New Normal

For a few weeks now, I have been watching 2 of our neighbors' younger kiddos two days a week while she homeschools her older 3 kids. So let me introduce you to 2 of my new babies :)
Lorelai (2)
and Emily (5)

We have had so much fun!
I usually watch them on the days Gavin is not in preschool, but had to switch one day a couple weeks ago, so we had a girly day!
We watched Cinderella, painted our fingernails and toenails...
 ...dressed up as princesses...
...and had a real tea party!

We've gone on adventures to the Splash Pad:
 and TCBY:

And done some school!
(Please ignore my messy kitchen table!)

We're starting with Letter of the Week with Henley based on Gavin's Letter of the Week at preschool, so last week we had so much fun with the letter L!

Field Trip to the Library for Preschool Storytime:

Homemade Lemonade (we all helped squeeze an entire bag of lemons!)

Ladybug snacks (would have been better with a red apple, but I had red grapes!)

L-shaped sandwiches

And L shaped cheese that they had to put together! It was L overload, people! :)

So our new normal is we have something every single day of the week, which is very different than what we've been used to these kiddos' whole lives! So we are staying busy, busy, busy, which is how we like it! :)

Myrtle Beach Day 5

Last post, promise. Then I'm sure I'll take a 2 month break again and return to slam you with blog posts again! :)

A Hurricane came through our last day there, but it cleared up and we went out to the beach just before dinner. I opted to not bring the camera (I mean, how many beach pictures can you have, people!?) then instantly regretted it when the lighting was so good. So, iPhone to the rescue!

The kids did GREAT on the drive to and from the beach. So nice having bigger kiddos that can entertain themselves! Oh yeah, naps and iPads (or naps while holding iPads in Henley's case) help too. :)

Thanks for great memories, Gram!

Myrtle Beach Day 4

We passed this giant elephant (randomly in front of a store) almost everyday. Of course we had to stop to let Henley see it up close!

She's doing her trunk up like the elephant. Stop it.

The lighting was a bit better so we tried to take a few more pics with me and the kiddos:

If Gavin's hair weren't so awful I would LOVE these pictures:

Then we took the kiddos on the pier.
Gav's face is HILARIOUS so I'm sharing all 3.

Of course we all had to get in the chair!

Fishermen were all over this pier. That would be a BABY SHARK!!!
(I touched it, too!)

Myrtle Beach Family & Kid Pics

I shared most of these on Facebook, but just in case you didn't see, here's our photo shoot @ the beach:

LOVE THIS ONE!!

Let me introduce you to someone. That would be my boyfriend from High School that is clean shaven. I'm thankful he grew back the beard. :)
